Sad words

"Its not like I'm a feminist," she said "I don't believe women are equal to men." The words whizzed by as if they meant nothing. It was good that she kept talking; telling her story. I was without words to respond. "I don't believe women are equal to men." she said. Such sad words. I don't know what to say.
